The Book- A book project between me and kate I
| I am going to begin putting my most recent entries at the beginning now so that you don't have to scroll all the way down. 6/14/2008 That feeling comes every year. That heart pounding, eye burning feeling. It arrives when the hugs and goodbyes come. It starts when all the parties happen. Its the feeling of departure. It means goodbye for now, see you soon. When summer comes, it feels like you will never see your school friends again. Writing letters from camp isn't the same.
1/24/08 I hope to enter text here frequently. Check back later. I'm currently doing math homework....probability. ugh! 1/25/08 Next week will be long and tiring. Three quizzes. But this weekend will be fun. I probably should use it to start studying though. 1/27/08 Don't you just love chocolate chunky days? Oh wait, you might not understand what I mean by that. You know when you eat a chocolate cupcake with sprinkles how excited you are to take a bite? Well some days are like that too. I look forward to having a chocolate chunky day, exciting and full of surprises. Today is not one of them, but yesterday was. Today is like biting into a cupcake with no flavor and no icing, nothing to look forward to and nothing to share. The probability of having a chocolate chunky day tomorrow is pretty good - oh wait, i just did math! 2/1/08 Last night my school advisory had their dinner. The guys were playing video games while the girls were trying to unplug their game. I have always wondered what guy play dates were like. Is it all sports and video games? The guys got really mad at us and kicked us out of their room. All of a sudden we heard a thump against Carter's room door. We opened it and found them playing football. It was nice all hanging out together outside of school. Days just keep getting chunkier. 2/16/08 Spilled popcorn, candy wrappers on the ground, clothes and my brother's lego's spilled all over the rug, drawings and doodles scattered over my desk, dirty socks floating around waiting for me to pick them up. My mom says I live in a pig sty. But I think it is meant to be that way. I feel it is my own style of living. I wish I could say that to my mom. 2/19/08 Finally! I have someone else's artwork on the submitted page. Please check it out! It is a beautiful photograph by Ben G from NY. Come on guys, I want more artwork and writing. This site is for your creativity. 3/31/08 Imagine holding an owl in the woods. Imagine letting it go and watching its vast wings spread as it flies into a tree. It so happens, that what you are imagining right now is what I did over spring break. My parents know these biologists and we flew to LA to go camping in the Santa Ana Mountains with them. The biologists let me and my brother hold owls, Red Shouldered Hawks, snakes, frogs and mice. The mice are actually used to trap the owls and hawks so that the biologists can tag them It was like a zoo in my arms. Don't you ever wonder what might the animals feel like being held by this big giant who they think is going to eat them for dinner? believe it or not, I am afraid of heights!! but there I am... |
If you have thought, idea or complaint you want to share, email me at charlotte@charlottehatesmath.com and I just might include it here!!!
